The Jewish National Alliance (Hazit)—Principles & Positions
1) Israel’s essence as a Jewish State must be the State’s paramount principle to which all other principles are subordinate.
2) Therefore, an oath of loyalty to Israel as a Jewish State is a precondition of participating in elections to, or holding any appointment in, any office of this State.
3) Eretz Yisrael is the eternal, God-given patrimony of the Jewish People. The right of the Jewish People to settle in all parts of this land and to worship at its Holy sites such as the Temple Mount is absolute.
4) Therefore, the Oslo Agreement is null and void and must be explicitly abrogated.
5) All necessary measures will be taken to preserve a sufficient Jewish majority in Eretz Yisrael, including encouragement of elements hostile to Israel’s existence to immigrate to other countries.
6) The “grandfather clause” of the Law of Return must be amended to curtail the influx of non-Jews into Eretz Yisrael, which can erode the Jewish majority of our country.
7) Since the eternal ideas and values of the Torah constitute the basis of the Jewish State, they must also constitute the basis of the State’s educational system, supplemented by a solid science curriculum.
8) A free market economy is needed to increase productivity, lower taxes and thus raise the real wages and opportunities of our people.
9) Mindful of Jonathan Pollard’s important contributions to Israel’s security, and as a matter of national honor, the Government must forthrightly insist on his release from prison.
10) To reduce corruption while promoting accountability, political stability, and national unity: (a) members of parliament must be individually elected by the voters in constituency elections; (b) a Presidential system must replace the transient and divisive system of multi-party cabinet government; (c) the appointment of the Supreme Court, a self-appointed oligarchy that scorns Jewish principles and moral values, should be democratized. The judges should be nominated by the President, subject to confirmation by parliament.
