The Foundation for Constitutional Democracy

19 Tevet 5768

Dear Friends and Supporters:

As other activists continue the old tired ways, the Foundation for Constitutional Democracy has been the voice for regime change, receiving standing ovations at gatherings such as last month’s New Jewish Congress in Jerusalem. We don’t stage protests or write letters or circulate petitions; we are taking regime change to the People, and you are an essential partner. Every Jew has a voice in what happens to and in the Land of Israel notwithstanding the rejection of your voice by our prime minister when he appeared hat in hand before the nations in Annapolis. “Mind your own business” he said to Diaspora Jewry. But Israel is your business! The Land of Israel belongs to you, your children, and grandchildren, just as it belongs to the Jews already living there.

Israeli voters realize that the absence of direct personal election of Knesset Members makes a mockery of democracy, undermines accountability, encourages mediocrity, and discourages acts of courage and vision. The People want more and, with your help, we are going to give it to them. The only way to save this country is to fix its system of government! Voters are resonating to our message of Knesset Members accountable to the people, not to party bosses. The stage is set for regime change based on the convergence of, Judaic Yisrael, Am Yisrael, and Eretz Yisrael.

We have just finished 40 years of wandering in the wilderness of confused leadership and loss of mission since our miraculous victory in the 1967 Six Day War; B”H, we have shed our shortcomings and the Joshua of our generation will lead the Children of Israel to security, peace, and prosperity.

We intend to give every Israeli a semester of civics by Prof. Eidelberg through attractive weekly lessons in Hebrew, Russian, French, and English in all major newspapers in Israel. Once voters understand that the American system can work in Israel, statesmen will step up to make it happen. We need your financial support to take this bold step toward creating the type of representational democracy in Israel that Americans enjoy under the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Please help us with a tax-deductible donation that will enable us to launch a grassroots educational program of which our Fathers Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov would be as proud as the American founding fathers Washington, Madison, and Hamilton.
