A war is being waged against Judaism. The war is being fought on many fronts and by different enemies. But the most dangerous enemy is the government of Israel. Here I leave aside the government’s intention to withdraw from Judea and Samaria and divide Jerusalem.
Israel’s government employs many weapons in its war against Judaism. Dominated by multiculturalists, by merely nominal Jews, the government not only diminished the funding of education for religious education, but also altered the curriculum of public schools to degrade Zionism on the one hand, and to obscure the militant nature of Arab-Islamic culture on the other.
This short-sighted and frivolous government has also adopted policies to facilitate the immigration of gentiles and enable them to obtain “quick-fix” conversions. Even more pernicious is Israel’s Supreme Court, which has imported American jurisprudence to degrade Israel. The court has issued rulings that violate Shabbat and foster homosexuality and gay marriages—rulings that undermine the family, the heart of Judaism.
Another weapon used by the government against Judaism is its seemingly innocuous anti-racist law. This law makes it a criminal offense to utter or publish any statement that can be construed to “denigrate” any race, nationality, or religion, even if the statement is true and published for justifiable ends.
One of the purposes of this law is to silence people in Israel who dare tell the truth about the unrelenting malevolence of Israel’s Arab citizens, whose representatives in the Knesset do not recognize Israel’s right to exist and encourage genocide. This so-called anti-racist law makes cowards of Jewish Knesset members. They know very well that their Arab “colleagues” violate the law prohibiting any party that negates the Jewish character of the State; yet they do nothing about it for fear of being denounced as “racists.”
Under this anti-racist law, the noted author Leon Uris—if he were alive today and a citizen of Israel—would be imprisoned five years for his historical novel The Haj (1984). Recall the setting of his book: Palestine, 1937.
An Englishman warns the Haganah:
“Every last Arab is a total prisoner of his society. The Jews will eventually have to face up to what you are dealing with here. The Arabs will never love you for what good you’ve brought them. They don’t know how to really love. But hate! Oh G-d, can they hate! And they have a deep, deep, deep resentment because you have jolted them from their delusions of grandeur and shown them for what they are—a decadent, savage people controlled by a religion that has stripped them as one commands a mob of sheep. You are dealing with a mad society and you’d better learn how to control it.”
At the end of the novel, Uris has an exceptional Arab, an archeologist, admit:
“Hate is our overpowering legacy and we have regenerated ourselves by hatred from … generation to generation, century to century. The return of the Jews unleashed that hatred, exploding it wildly, aimlessly, into a massive force of self-destruction. In ten, twenty, thirty years the world of Islam will begin to consume itself in madness. We cannot live with ourselves; we never have. We cannot live with or accommodate the outside world; we never have. We are incapable of change.”
The last thing the government of Israel wishes to see published by Jews is the truth—the truth about the implacable hatred Arabs harbor against Jews and Israel. The obscenity of this hatred is evident throughout the media of the Arab world.
It will be found in Egypt’s state-controlled media, in violation of the Israel-Egyptian peace treaty. It will be found in the media of the Palestine Authority, in violation of the Israel-PLO accords. It will be found in Israel’s Knesset, among its Arab Knesset members, who are paid to execrate the Jewish State.
This hatred has one message: the “Final Solution” of the Jewish problem. As far as Mahmoud Abbas is concerned, this is the ultimate objective of his “final status” talks with Ehud Olmert, the prime minister, a self-professed poltroon.
Let us for once be candid: Israel’s most dangerous enemy is its own government, whose timid and self-serving elites are steeped in a cesspool of lies.
To be candid, all Zionist organizations, especially those in America, should expose the unJewish as well as undemocratic nature of Israel’s government. Only such candor will save Israel for the catastrophe awaiting the Jewish people—everywhere!
Yes, but do these organizations have the courage for such candor? Are they afraid of being labeled “extreme right-wingers” by “politically correct” or timid Jews? Are they afraid of losing financial support from benefactors so very proud of Israel’s reputation as “the only democracy in the Middle East”? Is this the holy light Israel was chosen to bestow on mankind?
